Paralysis of the bottom extremities
BL-37-6 cun distal to ➞ BL-36 (gluteal crease), on a line connecting ➞ BL-36 and ➞ BL-40 (in the popliteal crease), in a gap in the musculature. BL-37
BL-40-In the centre of the popliteal crease, between the tendons of the biceps femoris and semitendinosus muscles. BL-40
BL-60-In the depression on the line connecting the Achilles tendon and the highest prominence of the lateral malleolus. BL-60
G.B.-30-  With the patient lying on their side, the point is at the junction between the medial two-thirds and the lateral third of a line connecting the greater trochanter and the sacral hiatus. G.B.-30
G.B.-31-On the lateral aspect of the thigh, inferior to the greater trochanter, approximately 7 cun proximal to the popliteal crease. G.B.-31
G.B.-34-In the depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula, between the peroneus longus and extensor digitorum longus muscles. G.B.-34
G.B.-39-3 cun proximal to the highest prominence of the lateral malleolus, on the anterior border of the fibula. G.B.-39
LIV-6-7 cun proximal to the highest prominence of the medial malleolus, just posterior to the medial crest of the tibia. LIV-6
ST-36-3 cun distal to ➞ ST-35 (‘lateral eye of the knee’) and 1 fingerbreadth lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia, on the tibialis anterior muscle. ST-36
ST-38-At the midpoint of the line joining ➞ ST-35 and ➞ ST-41 and 1 fingerbreadth lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia. ST-38
ST-40-At the midpoint of the line joining ➞ ST-35 and ➞ ST-41 and 2 fingerbreadths lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia or 1 fingerbreadth lateral to ➞ ST-38, between the extensor digitorum longus and peroneus brevis muscles. ST-40
ST-42-On the highest point of the dorsum of the foot, between the tendons of the extensor hallucis longus and the extensor digitorum longus, directly lateral to the point where the dorsalis pedis artery may be palpated. The point is bordered proximally by the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones and distally by the 2nd and 3rd cuneiform bones. Alternative location: Sometimes, this point may be located lateral to the medial portion of the extensor digitorum longus tendon (joining the 2nd toe). ST-42
