Location 2.5 cun superior to the anterior hairline and 2.25 cun lateral to the midline. How to find First, on the midline, locate the anterior hairline (with hairloss: when the patient frowns, the anterior hairline is marked by the border between the creased forehead and the smooth skin above) and ➞ Du-20 (at the junction of the vertical midline and a line connecting the apices of the ears). The distance between these two points is 5 proportional cun (➞ 2.2). Locate the midpoint (for example by using the spreading hands technique ➞ 2.3.3). G.B.-17 is located on the curved line connecting ➞ G.B.-15 and ➞ G.B.-20 (an extension of the pupil line, 2.25 cun lateral to the midline). ➞BL-6 is also located 2.5 cun anterior to ➞Du-20, but 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.
