ST-10
Location On the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, at the midpoint of a line connecting ➞ ST-9 and ST-11. How to find ➞ ST-9 and ST-10 are both located on the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle (➞ 3.2). ➞ ST-11 is located posterior to the sternal head. Place the middle finger of the left hand onto ➞ ST-9 on the level of the laryngeal prominence and the thumb on ➞ ST-11 posterior to the sternal insertion. ST-10 is located at the midpoint between the two fingers. With the patient’s head rotated in the opposite direction, the muscle will be more visible and can be more easily palpated.
