  Location On the upper border of the clavicle, between the tendons of the sternal and clavicular heads of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. How to find By rotating the patient’s head in the opposite direction (especially against resistance), the ropey sternal insertion of the sternocleidomastoid muscle (➞ 3.2) becomes clearly visible. ST-11 is located in a shallow depression, the minor supraclavicular fossa, between the sternal insertion and the more extended insertion of the clavicular head.
