Location 5 cun proximal to the wrist joint, on the line connecting the ulnar wrist joint space with the ulnar sulcus of the elbow (➞ S.I.-5 to ➞ S.I.-8) or 1 cun distal to the midpoint of this line. How to find Find the midpoint of the distance between ➞S.I.-5 and ➞S.I.-8 by using the spreading hands technique (➞ 2.3.3): Place the little fingers on ➞ S.I.-5 and ➞ S.I.-8 respectively and span the hands evenly, with the thumbs joining at the midpoint. From the midpoint, measure 1 cun in a distal direction. The point lies between the palpable border of the ulna and the more anteriorly located flexor carpi ulnaris muscle.
