   Location At the intersection of a vertical line through the outer canthus of the eye with the lower border of the zygomatic bone, on the anterior border of the masseter muscle. S.I.-18 is located in a depression on the anterior border of the masseter muscle, approximately on the level of the lateral border of the ala nasi (➞ L.I.-20). By making chewing movements, the anterior border of the masseter muscle becomes easily palpable.
